PropelNext helps nonprofits transform their passion for helping disadvantaged youth into data-driven insights and practices that enable them to deliver even more powerful results.
In 2012 EMCF launched PropelNext to assist promising nonprofits in strengthening their capacity to use data for learning, self-evaluation and ongoing improvement. In contrast to EMCF’s large, long-term investments focused primarily on growth and quality, PropelNext makes smaller grants to organizations whose programs are promising but not yet fully formed or codified.
PropelNext is an integrated three-year program that provides each grantee unrestricted funding along with an equal investment in expert coaching, group learning sessions, and a peer learning community. Through the initiative, grantees enhance and sharpen their program models, implement robust performance management systems, and develop organizational cultures that facilitate and practice ongoing learning and assessment.
As a result of this program, we believe the life prospects of disadvantaged youth will be improved by even smarter, stronger organizations, and that a dynamic learning community among our grantees will emerge to support each other.
