The National Academy Foundation supports a national network of career academies that are based in public high schools and serve youth ages 14-18.
Career academies, organized as “small learning communities,” are taught by specially trained teachers who help students achieve academic success and prepare them for productive careers.
OUR INVESTMENT
EMCF invested $2.5 million in the National Academy Foundation from 2008 to 2012. During this period, the National Academy Foundation began implementing an organization-wide performance management system to track outcomes achieved by participants across its vast network, as well as completed a business plan that lays out its future growth plans.
