Latin American Youth Center serves youth of all ethnic backgrounds in Washington, DC and operates the Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers at three sites in Maryland.
Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) offers a comprehensive set of services that include education, social services, work skills, advocacy and residential programs, and serves more than 4,000 young people and adults annually.
OUR INVESTMENT
EMCF invested $5.5 million in LAYC from 2006 to 2012. Our investment helped LAYC undertake a theory of change process and design a new integrated client management model to improve outcomes for youth with the great needs in the capital region.
LAYC also implemented a rigorous performance tracking system across the entire organization, and launched an external evaluation to demonstrate the effectiveness of its integrated client management model targeting youth with great needs.
